Hello! I’m Lolly

 Lolly Dadley-Moore RCST, ABD, PACT

Licensed Biodynamic Craniosaral Therapist

My journey of being in the healing arts spans 3 decades and has gifted me a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring you, as you seek to enhance your health and wellness. Here’s a little about my history

I have always been passionate about health, fascinated about the body I live in, it’s physiological nature, and about how we are connected to ourselves, to nature and to one another.

Biodynamic Crainosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy emerged out of the field of Osteopathy about 100 years ago and was developed by Dr William Garner Sutherland. Subtle biorhythms gently pulsate the body as a whole while at the same time expresses these movements in the individual systems and its parts, right down to a cellular level.

The body is a living entity and community of intelligent systems, with patterns and imprints from life experience. These patterns will often portray why our body is in dysfunction and our optimal health is bound up, meaning we can be experiencing pain, pathology, low energy, disease, dysfunction or challenged mental health.

The BCST therapist can be the empathic observer and witness as the body, through the technique, releases health back into the system, alleviating issues, and optimizes energy, function, regulation and alignment.

My Approach

My approach is always that your body has the necessary answers, that the inner physician is who will lead the way. I support my clients using holistic techniques such as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Primitive Reflex Integration, and mindfulness tools.

Together we will work towards defining your health goals so I can support you through the therapy, and create a self-care management plan. We will explore implementing the necessary changes you may need to optimise your wealth of health.

"Lolly embodies compassionate presence, carrying grounded wisdom and skill born of deep experience. Her hands and her way of being invite health to unfold, in gentle yet often profoundly nourishing ways. The beauty of this therapy is that the practitioner does not force change upon the body. Instead the practitioner supports the body's own capacity for self-healing, encouraging health to reemerge from within. During a long journey with chronic pain, when other hands-on therapies were unhelpful or painful for me, regular sessions with Lolly were a lifeline, helping my body release tensions and relax into a state of ease. In the days following our sessions I tend to feel lighter, expanded, more integrated, whole, and at home in my body.

Redwood, 39 years

"I have found great benefit through craniosacral treatment with Lolly. I could actually feel energies moving within my body and it was the least invasive and most effective treatment for 'locked up' and uncomfortable muscle and joint pain I've ever received. She is an extremely talented practitioner and I highly recommend her healing hands."

Nic, Picton NZ

"Thanks so much for helping me orientate to how it can be with families. The specific questions and approaches you suggested to explore were useful. More than that, our supervision helped me be well prepared and aware of dynamics between mother and child and details I may well have missed."

Maureen, BCST Practitioner, Auckland NZ

"Lolly is a lovely person and a great teacher, she's also an amazing listener and Craniosacral Therapist.
I'm grateful to have crossed paths with this woman because she has taught me not only knowledge, also through her listening and treatments I'm continuing to gain confidence and a real sense of my self and the healing my body is doing. Very empowering! She has inspired me to be an amazing Craniosacral therapist for others. "

Sara, BCST Practitioner, Wellington NZ

"Lolly was recommended to me by a trusted friend. At that time (2017) I was struggling to manage with complex injuries including a Traumatic Brain Injury, neurotoxicity from medication harm, and Trauma associated with the event that caused my physical injuries. My sessions with Lolly were a true and rare salve;- a respite from the confusion and alarm that my injuries caused to me. Lolly emanates warmth and compassion but I think on reflection what I appreciated most of all was her clear and evident skill - she is a gentle but confident practitioner. She knows what she is doing and I so much appreciated being able to put myself literally in her good hands and benefit from each of her treatments. Thank you with gratitude for all your goodness Lolly."

Sarah, 52 years

"Lolly has been my ‘go to’ for any health issues for my children. Also for my own well being. I find her experience, skills and intuition deeply reassuring. She’s helped us through births, coughs, colds, weird arm situations, anything I felt anxious about. I 100% trust her and would recommend her to you if you’re looking for health support that starts on the inside."

Charlotte, and children ages 5 years and 13 years

She holds a non-judgmental, safe space while working with you to support both professional and personal explorations, of different aspects of your practice. As a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, I value her supervision and ongoing guidance throughout my journey as a practitioner. I am both grateful and blessed to work with Lolly as my supervisor and definitely recommend her for supervision."

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first visit to a Craniosacral Therapist?

A short history will be taken including what brings you to the session, if you haven’t already filled in my online form or emailed form. You will lie fully clothed on the treatment table and I will most likely start by holding your feet. Your system will guide me as to where I need to treat, either staying at the feet, or moving to different parts of your body that require reintegration or support. This is a client-led modality.

Depending on your awareness of your own body, there may be talking throughout, or you may lie in relative silence. You are always welcome to talk, or ask questions and move throughout the session to be as comfortable as possible.

I don’t manipulate, but sometimes you may feel sensations of twitching, shaking, buzzing, rushes, ‘adjustments’ that literally move your body. This is the opportunity for your body to ‘de-frag’ as it wants to, to work optimally.

For a baby or child, the initial session will also be an hour, always in the presence of the parent or parents, who can be included in the treatment if they wish. Follow up sessions are generally allocated 30 minutes.

I make time and space to hear from the parent and child’s perspective, what is going on. So a short history, and birth story will be useful as well as the reason for the session.

Hands-on contact time may vary depending on the needs of each individual baby or child. Often, babies and young children will be treated on their mum or dad’s lap. Toddlers may be worked with sitting beside a parent or, on the floor as they play or are amused by a parent. A favourite book or toy is often useful as long as not too stimulating. School-aged children can make the most of the treatment table.

How many sessions do I need?

I believe it is essential to your healing journey, to take the time to build trust in the therapeutic relationship between the therapist, you and your body. Generally, three consecutive treatments are advised to anchor and support the changes that happen in the session but also for integration afterwards.

My work is family-centred, I am available to visit adults or children in the relaxed atmosphere of their own home, or in a hospital/care setting. This can hugely aid recovery.

I also love working with families pre and post-natally. It’s a magical and humbling time, but can also be fraught: everyone involved needs a lot of extra support. Home visits for mum and bub especially soon after delivery, can really be life-changing.

How can Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) help my child?

Birth is the biggest transition we will ever make. We are made for this process, but sometimes we need a little help adjusting to life outside of the fluid, fully nurtured environment.

BCST is especially useful in this regard: honouring what is and often helping mother and baby attune to each other more effectively.

Whilst a baby’s body is well designed to meet the requirements of being born, such as soft cranial bones to assist in negotiating the birth canal, a system that switches from being fed from a tube to the gut to through the mouth and of course switching on lung breathing – there is a lot the body has to negotiate, so discomfort or dis-ease may remain within the body. This may show itself, for example, as wind, a difficulty to establish feeding at the breast, a reluctance to lie in a particular position, or distress that interrupts sleeping.

BCST is particularly useful for babies, as it is does not use any manipulation of any kind, and is therefore extremely gentle and safe for their delicate bodies.

BCST in the hands of a PACT registered practitioner is a safe and highly effective way of assisting babies to return to a comfortable, happy and healthy state of being.

How can Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) help parents?

Having a baby or child’s health improve or recover can be a great relief for a parent! Since the baby relates to its world through the felt sense and primarily through the contact with the mother, they often present with similar patterns to their mother. Treating the mother or parents at the same time as the baby can significantly enhance the babies response to treatment.

For women in the child-bearing years, BCST is a lovely way of maintaining comfort and health, supporting and discomforts of pregnancy. It is also a very relaxing and enjoyable way of supporting the return to a non-pregnant state, helping your body to adjust after birth, so you can more easily meet the demands of parenting a newborn.

Fathers can also be supported to adjust to the demands of their new role, as BCST can be a very helpful way to support the management of stress caused by the addition of a baby to the household.

Often what people attribute to ageing is simply your body’s way of saying that some maintenance and support to let go of patterns of tension or pain is required.
